“How Sweet It Is!”
In an evening of sweet decadence and delight, three-hundred of Sonoma County’s leading business owners, arts lovers, and philanthropists gather each year for a gala fundraising event in honor of the Arts Center’s “Arts Benefactor of the Year.” The popular event features a divine gourmet meal, exquisite desserts, fine wines, a martini bar, and many rare and outstanding auction prizes.
Proceeds benefit the Center and its many programs including Education Through the Arts, which consists of school shows for grades K-12, Artists in the Schools mini-residencies, Music For Schools instrument lending library, professional development classes for teachers, Bus Fund for student transportation, and ArtReach free and reduced price tickets.
Since its inception in 2003, the annual Art of Dessert gala fundraising event has generated more than $500,000 and helped Wells Fargo Center for the Arts to provide the enrichment of the arts to over 150,000 children and adults.
